These guys are often found patrolling the village together. Trouble is they often run into Arale, which is often a ‘hard-hitting’ and ‘shocking experience.

Akira Toriyama

This is one of manga artist Akira Toriyama’s guises. His name Toriyama can be broken into Tori “bird” and “Yama” mountin. Which is why sometimes he appears as a bird and his manga studio is bird studio.

Aoi Kimidori
Akane’s sister runs the coffee pot, coffee shop.  First appears in chapter Aoi means blue in Japanese.

Kurikinton Suramame

Looks a lot like Clint Eastwood, runs a barber shop. Is the Dad of Peasuke and Taro.

Senbei’s parents died when he was quite young, but we know from the chapter in which he sees the video of his rather he resembles him a lot. Senbei is a genius inventor at the start of the series he’s been in a bit of an inventing ” Slump” hence his nickname Dr Slump. Senbei loves adult magazines and as soon as he sees her Miss Midori Yamabuki. Has two faces his fat slump self and his suave lady killer self.

Arale is the most advance android Senbei has ever created. Trouble is he made her head first, so while she was being constructed all she watched was T.V. We can assume T.V in Penguin village is pretty much like Japanese T.V. Full of wrestling shows, giant monster shows and ultra man. This has the side effect of making her very short sighted and she lacks common sense having learned most of what she knows from TV and Senbei. She loves to eat poop, play giant monsters and gets energy from Robovitan.

Akane is the bad girl of her class; she blows bubble-gum in school and is determined to have a gang. She seems to get into trouble with the police often. Her older sister Aoi runs the Coffe Pot- Coffee shop. She smokes, she drinks and is a general bad girl.

He loves to collect autographs from anyone who he thinks is interesting or exciting.

Taro is Peasuke’s older brother and he attends the local high school. He does his best to be a rebel and dresses in what he considers trendy sports clothes. He’s almost never seen without his shades and bears a remarkable resemblance with the Fonz. He denies any kid of relationship with Akane.
