Our guide to the Dr Slump manga, chapter names, translation notes, edit spots and more. I have 17 volumes of the original Japanese edition and am collecting the new Viz manga as they come out.

What to expect…

Initially a plot description, I hope also to include info like the first appearance of certain characters and in jokes etc.

You’ll find links to each of the 18 volumes of Dr Slump in the Sub Menu below. hopefully there will be a comparison of volumes with any key point that catch my eye as well as credits for the Viz edition of Dr Slump so readers can keep track of staff involved. There will also be a summary and covers from the English and Japanese versions. Additionally I plan to add details of the Dragon Ball cross over. I also plan to include a Omake ” Extras” guide.

If we get info we’ll also add the info on the V-jump ” New Dr Slump” but info on that is hard to find.

Edit Guide/additional info

Actually compared to other books the Viz editions of manga change some things very little. Toriyama’s silly Omake ( such as the fly Arale mask are still in tact and page numbers stay the same. What they have done is edit the adult humour. As with the later change in editorial style of Dragon Ball nudity, adult jokes and words are masked. This site is still heavily under construction so please bear with me as I compare my Japanese volumes with the English. As I do not speak Japanese this will only be a pictorial comparison unless I know something has been changed. I don’t see a point in listing every single edit, though I will list any edits I am alerted to. I will also list interesting stuff as I find it!
